The makers have announced the completion of the film, and have scheduled to release it on June 14.

Kabir Khan’s ‘sweet’ surprise for Kartik Aaryan on ‘Chandu Champion’ sets

Kartik had to undergo a major body transformation for the film as he plays a swimmer. Just few days ago, the makers wrapped up the film and to celebrate the occasion, Kabir fed Kartik a huge piece of ras malai and here Kartik revealed that he hasn’t had sugar for a year as he had to lose weight and be in a particular shape for the film.
The film also marks the third collaboration between Sajid and Kabir, first two being Phantom with Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif and second being 83 with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. Going by the rumours, the film was earlier offered to Ranveer Singh, but due to some reasons, the talks fell through and hence Kartik was roped in.
Murlikant Petkar is a war hero and India’s inaugural Paralympic gold medalist. His historic victory occurred in the 50m freestyle (swimming) at the 1972 Heidelberg Paralympics in Germany, setting a world record. He achieved this feat after surviving nine bullet wounds in the 1965 India-Pakistan war.
