Kim Yoo Jung’s Donation for Pediatric Cancer Patients | – Times of India



Actress Kim Yoo Jung has once again proven her compassionate nature with a generous donation to support pediatric cancer patients. On February 15, the Korea Children’s Cancer Foundation announced that Kim Yoo Jung had contributed 100 million won, approximately $75,000, towards covering treatment costs for children battling childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases. They further expressed, “The donation delivered in Kim Yoo Jung’s name will be used to cover treatment costs for children suffering from childhood cancer, leukemia, and rare incurable diseases”, as quoted by Soompi.
Expressing her heartfelt sentiments, Kim Yoo Jung conveyed, “I hope that children will not lose their dreams and be healthier in the new year”. Her donation comes as a beacon of hope for families grappling with the immense emotional and financial burdens of pediatric cancer treatment. Hong Seung Yoon, director of the Korea Children’s Cancer Foundation, extended his gratitude to Kim Yoo Jung for her compassionate support, emphasizing, “We would like to thank actress Kim Yoo Jung for her warmhearted support. We ask for lots of interest and love for children with pediatric cancer and leukemia”.
Kim Yoo Jung’s kind gesture comes amidst her recent success in the drama realm, notably portraying the character Do Do Hee in the series ‘My Demon’. Her mature and compelling performance has captivated audiences, earning her accolades such as the Top Excellence in the Rom-Com Miniseries award at the prestigious 2023 SBS Drama Awards.
