However, the actor seized this opportunity to raise awareness about deepfake content on the internet. In a recent interview, he revealed that he was deeply shocked while watching it but intends to educate people on this issue.
While speaking to Hindustan Times, Sonu talked about the importance of making viewers aware of deepfakes and addressing the issue.He stressed that many people are being deceived every day and falling into such traps. He stated that numerous celebrities are being affected by these deepfake incidents, and it is high time to address it.
In the recently circulated deepfake video, a person can be seen deceiving someone for money in Sood’s name, with the actor’s face digitally manipulated into theirs. Sood shared that many such fraudsters exploit his name to ensnare people and around 200 FIRs were filed in the country related to such incidents. The actor disclosed that people predominantly reach out to him through social media.
